Woke App:

The Woke app is a 3rd party autocorrect app for iOS. It suggests language that is more inclusive when non inclusive language is written. A pink dotted underline will be seen under the non inclusive words. The user can then find out more by clicking the three pink dots linking them to the Woke app. Users are able to suggest words they cannot find on the language library, helping the inclusive language library evolve. Evolution = Solution!

Woke Advertisement:

I decided that a snapchat filter was a fitting advertisement for the Woke app. When selected, users are told to open their mouths and an iPhone ‘typing’ bubble will appear but not as users know it. The usual grey dots are replaced with the 3 Woke pink dots. Users are able to click the link in the top left to finds out more information about the app on the app store.

Woke Speculation:

For the speculative element to this project, I decided to think about how autocorrect technology could be advanced. With Elon Musk planting chips into monkeys so they can play video games, I thought about a Live autocorrect chip and how that could come with positive and negative repercussions. In this news article, Neuralink (producers of the live autocorrect chip) have sold accessibility rights of people with the chip to political parties so they can promote these parties without their permission as part of the parties election campaign.
