Challenge:
The challenge of this brief was to create a design artefact with a partner that would act as a boundary object between us. We had to develop a common language between ourselves and produce an object that worked for both of us.
Response:
For this brief, my partner and I explored our shared interest in the TV show “The Office”. We created a brand partnership between The Office and Post-It Notes to create a limited edition product. The design channelled our favourite aspects of the office. These were the regular pranks that happened around the office and the shows ability to turn boring topics, such as the sale of paper, to create entertainment. Our product was a series of Post-It Notes, embossed with illustrative designs, instructing the user on how to prank their colleagues. The designs were hidden to all but the user, revealing themselves when scribbled over with a pencil.
