Challenge:

The final two weeks were focused on creating a boundary object to communicate an idea derived from a given location to a specified audience.

Response:

For this brief I was given Low Fell, a highly residential area full of young families and the home of the first lightbulb inventor Joseph Swan. This made me think about climate change and how light was the first stepping stone to where we are today. I changed their annual event ‘Enchanted Parks’ into ‘Re-Enchanted Parks’ a climate change dystopia, Saltwell Park destroyed by forest fires with no plants left alive. Aimed at families to help teach them that small actions have big consequences, to think of the future of their children, and teach them to act against climate change. The more the community works together, turning off those small actions, the faster the park begins to bloom again.
