As a response for this brief, I drawn the illustration of the mural, depicting an exciting scene of the most important characters, places that used to be in the Bigg Market. As a matter of fact, the Bigg Market used to be very crowded and full of characters, such as Abdul Latif, animals from the winter zoo and much more. There was smog on the air and children running on the street. It was full of shops that used to sell any type of vegetables, biggs, clothing and so on. The air was warm, vibrant. That’s what I wanted to illustrate. Other than the mural I also decided to explore different design approach to encourage people to go to visit the new mural. As an example, I did some posters, social media posts and even some roller banners to put outside of the mural. In terms of the concept ‘engaging community’ I created an event mural website where people can learn more about the history of the Bigg Market, play games and share posts, comments or pictures related to the new or the old Bigg Market. In conclusion, for the aspirational mural I created a little video showing a project mapping mural, with different colors and movements effects.
