The brief was set by Atouch, a young start-up company from Switzerland that specialises in the development of collaboration platforms for extra-large multi-touch display technologies. The brief set us out to create a consistent brand that reflects the company’s values, such as transparency and openness, and improve the visual design of the interface to be consistent with the new branding. With this brief I found the challenging part to be understanding the process of agile working as well as creating effective UX design even though the company’s product itself wasn’t necessarily finished.

The process involved a lot of research into both the competitor’s and the field of collaboration platforms. Analysing Atouch was essential in order to see what makes it stand out from its competitors and conveying these findings through my branding solutions alongside the company’s values. Interviews with agile practitioners enabled me to understand the process behind the product which helped identify key aspects of the software that make Atouch an effective tool and that stands out within the market.

Created a simple brand that conveys the core aspects of the company such as easier communication and an agile process. The approach to the visual design focused on allowing the company to be quickly identifiable as a modern technology brand, with the use of trendy colours and clean typography. In regards to the software design, I followed user research insights to create software that highlights Atouch’s key features, whilst making the design simple in order to make the software easy to use by a new user.
