For this project we were to create a boundary object to communicate an idea that stems from an assigned location to a specific audience. This idea could have either current, historic, scientific, artistic, social, political or environmental value for two different but linked communities in the area.
Our area was Heaton which is home to many artists. However, many forms of art, such as graffiti, are being questioned and don’t often receive the respect they deserve. Through an outdoor exhibition in the streets of Heaton and casual artist talks near its murals or in the local coffee shops, the local community can discover the creative people of this town, explore art and share their experiences with the different artworks. Artists can talk about their passion and ideas as well as share their creative process and thoughts. My idea was to visualise the exhibition and create some advertising posters and the tags.
